Our site staff of approximately 50 have between them a service record in excess of 440 years and offer plumbing, carpentry, brickwork, decorating and ground working skills. Sixteen of our site staff have been with us for over 10 years and of those 11 have been employed for over 20. Where specialist trades are required, that are not covered by our own tradesmen, we have an approved list of sub contractors that have been tried and tested over many years.

Company turnover has risen gradually from £38 thousand in 1972 to £6.4 million in 2006. We operate from a very sound financial base and own and operate a large and up to date fleet of vehicles and plant.

To back up site staff we operate from offices at our yard in Cranbrook. At present the office comprises two Contracts Managers, two Estimator/Surveyors, two Accounts Clerks, an Office Administrator and a Yard Foreman alongside the three Directors, John, Sue and Chris Ditton.

The Company utilises a fully Integrated computer accounts system and runs a Small Business Server linking all employees by desktop computer to one another, to facilitate shared access to contract information and e-mail facility for both internal and external contact.

It is policy to maintain an on-going training programme for all staff and through our association with both the Weald Construction Training Group and Construction Safety (South East) we ensure that all personnel are trained and qualified in appropriate ways. Apprenticeships are offered in most trades and we usually have at least four under training at any one time
