At Hurstway Construction we pride ourselves on the wide range of residential contracts that we are able to complete with our own skilled workforce. Many people still choose to select their contractor through a process of competitive tender, but over the past years there have been an increased number of contracts secured by negotiation with either repeat customers or from architect's introduction. Projects range from quality one off housing to extensive renovation and alterations through to traditional extensions and repair works. We are also able to attend to the more mundane tasks associated with property ownership such as roof repairs, redecoration etc. We are well versed in dealing with work to Listed Buildings and can assist clients in the complications of dealing with VAT Zero Rating where applicable
Contracts completed in this section range from new build swimming pool and sports hall complexes to replacement wash hand basins or toilets. Much of the major work completed is carried out under the direct supervision of an architect or contract administrator but relationships built up with many schools mean that we offer both a planned and reactive service to cater for the multitude of minor works that schools will require on a day to day basis.
INSURANCE COMPANIES / PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANIES
Much of the work carried out for the major insurance companies involves underpinning or structural repair works to both residential and commercial property. In some cases the works may be limited to minor crack repair and redecorations but in others the property may require demolition and subsequent reconstruction on piled foundations. We are also involved with fire damage repair, and flood restoration works. Property Management Companies have utilised our multi skilled workforce for both reactive and planned maintenance works to their buildings and in addition for extensions/ alteration works.
The work carried out for these employers has been as diverse as it has been constant for the past 35 years.
From award winning Village Halls to Public Conveniences we have built, repaired and extended a vast range of public buildings. Our recent projects of interest have been the conversion of the old fire station in Cranbrook into a multi purpose office for the Parish Council, this was officially opened by HRH Princess Anne and the conversion of the old Mortuary at Cranbrook cemetery in to a disabled toilet facility
OTHER COMMERCIAL CLIENTS
From steel framed factory extensions, toilet facilities in Medieval churches to extensions to Nursing Homes ensuring the safety of the elderly occupants. Every project has its own peculiarities and at Hurstway Construction we believe that we can be flexible enough to deal with the individual requirements that your project may hold.
